Drug Delivery
Where Clinic, Business, and Technology Meet
In an ideal world all therapeutic agents would be easy to formulate and readily bioavailable in an active form.
Until then, there will be a need for drug delivery technology.
Dr. Senior's expertise broadly covers injectable drug delivery systems including novel injection technologies. She is especially interested in the fate and behavior of drugs and their delivery systems after their administration by different routes, and has published widely in this area using liposomes as a model system.
In addition, Dr. Senior has a general interest in sustained release and nanotechnology especially but not exclusively, applied to injectable drug products. See the book, "Sustained Release Injectables Products," edited by Dr. Judy Senior.
Dr. Senior also has experience of many aspects of intellectual property (IP) for drug delivery systems and their development including litigation, scientific advice and assessments, and line extensions.
